Mental Boxing utilises boxing’s affinity with life on many levels. Linguistic parallels help us achieve this. We’ve all been there: backed into a corner, hanging on by a thread and just trying to make it to the next round.

We are down and out. Knocked down and completely exhausted, we are counted out and, additionally, have to deal with punches below the belt. There’s only one thing to do, then: get up! In order to actively recover, we need a good defence to either block or tolerate further hits. We need the proper attitude to access this endurance. Mental training is an essential component here and can be perfectly combined with both exercise and a boxer’s mentality!

the mental level

our own spirit is our personal and mental coach!

In such situations, we punch our thoughts into an inner attitude and direction that is beneficial for us. The power of thoughts is immense, and our perception is always shaped by our interests. Life is a reflection of our thoughts: change the thoughts, and life follows. This is where we start; we want to punch our way out, out of the corner and out of the crisis. Prioritising restraint over dealing out is, more often than not, the best strategy both in the boxing ring and in inner and outer communication. It all starts with thinking. Blind rage prevents clear thinking and never triumphs, neither in the boxing ring nor in life.
Whether in the ring or in relationships, in business, or in finding one’s personal happiness: a winning tactic and a sustainable strategy are needed at the right time so that everything fits “like a glove”. We gear up for verbal, gentle, but consistent exchanges to achieve more lucky punches in life. For this, we act as sparring partners with each other.

By shadowboxing in front of the mirror, we work on body language alongside boxing techniques. Mental boxing primarily captures the moment in movement, to communicate or indirectly install coaching elements far from the classic face-to-face session. The basis for this methodology was and is the observation that the body can open the mind better when in the flow of movement, therefore creating the basis for open conversations.

As your Mental Coach Berlin, I want to work with you, through boxing; to make you mentally and physically fitter, more resilient and vital. Let’s tackle it together. Honest sport is more liberating and beneficial than constantly chewing on symptoms like a bitter pill. Free your mind from poison through movement until you feel your body. Your body will then speak a more positive language.

Verbally and decisively, we aim at value and belief systems, to deliver transformative punches here as well. Through communicative sparring, the client learns to change their perspective in difficult situations, and to develop positive perspectives and new judgements.

We aim to gain the upper hand over our inner critic in order to bring the “verbal guiding hand” to its target. We are made aware of undesirable and restrictive behavioural and communication patterns, we reduce and later transform “linguistic softeners” and filler words. The client learns to enter states that allow access to their potential.

On our journey, we leave behind heavy backpacks and bulky scrap. The focal points often include fears, depression, burnout, workaholism, procrastination, compulsions, and unwanted behaviours. We address many major aspects of life: purpose, self-love, happiness, success, fulfillment, courage, growth, willpower, faith, health, forgiveness, acceptance, gratitude, spirituality. But we also discuss illness, loss, death, grief, anger, shame. These conversations are very human. We deliberately transcend the framework of conventional mental coaching and utilise methodologies from competitive sports.

Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them– a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.

Diagnostic and therapeutic instruments include the kinesiological ring rest with bilateral hemisphere stimulation, central mechanisms of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), fundamentals of nonviolent communication & linguistic tools, and working with the inner child. In the video training, we’ll deepen the work on self-image and the causal chain of thinking-language-action to form stable engagement and clear intentions. These mental coaching tools have proven themselves to be individually effective over many years, and I will introduce them to you as your trainer and coach.
